Japanese kids said to have weight problems
In Tokyo- According to researchers a vast number of Japanese children are said to have problems regarding their weight. Health officials said that they are worried for this may cause the children health problems in the future.
In history it is said that Japanese are among the people who have the longest life in the world. This is because of their focus on the importance of a healthy diet. But according to health researchers nowadays other Japanese men and women are suffering from a metabolic syndrome. This metabolic syndrome is said to be a combination of mental disorders, which can raise the risk of heart disease and other serious health problems.
Other researcher teams conducted a health survey and found that 20 percent of the primary and junior high school children were identified as overweight.
According to Takehiko Ozheki, a professor and chairman of Pediatrics a central Japan’s Hamamatsu University, the worldwide trend regarding is rapidly growing. He added that diet among individuals really changed. He said that children chooses to stay more sitting while watching TV or playing games in the computer all day instead of exercising or doing other outdoor activities.
Ozheki added the symptoms, which include metabolic syndrome, are as follows: large waistline, high blood pressure, raised in the levels of the insulin, excess body weight and abnormal cholesterol levels. Any individual who is said to be suffering from these symptoms has a high risk of heart disease and diabetes.
